The aim of the Bristol RNA Club, founded in Nov. 2006, is to promote collaborative links, information and reagent exchange between researchers interested in RNA biology in the Bristol and Bath area. It is open to specialists and non-specialists alike; PhD, MSc and BSc students are particularly welcome.

The Genetics Society was founded by William Bateson in 1919 and is one of the oldest learned societies devoted to Genetics in the world. Its membership of over 2000 consists of most of the United Kingdom’s active geneticists, including academics, researchers and students.

RNA: the Economist takes notice
The June 14 2007 cover of the Economist is dedicated to RNA and the magazine’s leader explains, under a ‘The RNA revolution’ heading, that biology will will be to the 21st century what physics was to the 20th.

The 2010 meeting of the Bristol RNA Club will be hosted in conjunction with the Cardiff Institute of Tissue Engineering and Repair (CITER) and will take place on April 28th, in the Henry Wellcome Building on the Heath Park Site, Cardiff University School of Medicine.
